The Starless Sea is a timeless love story that begins with the discovery of a mysterious book in a library and is set in a secret underground world--a place of pirates, painters, lovers, liars, and ships that sail upon a starless sea. Publisher’s Weekly described the novel as a dreamlike and uncanny love letter to bibliophiles.

Erin Morgenstern is the author of The Night Circus, a number-one national best seller that has been translated into thirty-seven languages. She has a degree in theater from Smith College and lives in Massachusetts.

Warwick’s Books, an independent bookshop in La Jolla, is the country's oldest continuously family-owned and operated bookstore, in business since 1896.
